ALIA is a new symposium focusing on Artificial Life and Intelligent Agent research. The symposium is planned as a two day event, with day 1 focusing on academic presentations, and day 2 dedicated to tutorials, industry engagement and workshops. The aim is to bring academic researchers and industry professionals together to share ideas and promote innovation. This year the symposium will be held at the Reichel Building at Bangor University.
Bangor University, was founded in 1884 making it one of the oldest degree awarding institutions in the UK. Situated on the north Wales coast and set against the backdrop of the Snowdonia national park, Bangor is surrounded by some of the most stunning scenery in the UK, including the Menai Straits (pictured). It is well serviced by regular trains along the coastal route, and a major highway (A55) connecting it with Chester on the English border and several airports.
The concept for the symposium was originally convinced by the AI research group at Bangor University.
